Today is my birthday and I could not be more excited to celebrate with my family and friends! Last weekend, my mom threw me a wonderful party at our home with my friends. She made it it a culinary masterpiece with several small courses and drinks to go along with each course. She also created a signature drink for me called the “Nana Kwinki,” which will be the featured recipe in the post today. It’s called the Nana Kwinki because when I was a toddler I couldn’t pronounce my name and called myself Nana Kwinki (my name’s a tough one!). Here are a few snapshots from the party and the recipe for the Nana Kwinki!
Now for the Nana Kwinki…
What you’ll need:
Vodka (can be raspberry or strawberry flavored)
Strawberries and Raspberries
Simple Syrup (here’s an easy homemade version)
What to do to make three- four drinks:
Pour a cup of grapefruit juice, a squeeze of lemon juice, 3 shots of vodka and 2 shots of simple syrup into a drink shaker and add a few ice cubes. Shake the drink shaker. Fill three- four glasses with ice cubes. Pour drink out of the drink shaker into glasses and garnish with strawberries, raspberries and mint.
It was an amazing party with a fabulous signature drink! Hope you enjoy. This weekend I am going wine tasting with some Canadian family flying into town. There will be a blog post next week recounting it all!
